Lamborghini S.E.

The Lamborghini’s [Sesto Elemento] design has always been appealing to me. The lines and overall shape are modern, minimal and striking and that’s exactly what I look for when designing hard surface models.

I decided to use Maya 2014 to model, texture and render this car. I used a linear workflow using Mental Ray as my renderer as well as using Mental Ray Materials for shading the car. One of the bigger challenges I faced, was creating a material that would really convey the distinctive matte/ low reflectivity look of this car’s body.
